Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission Concludes Meter Installations Discussion…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission (LERC) has concluded discussions with LIB Energy and stakeholders of Grand Gedeh County to install meters on homes and businesses of customers.

According to our Correspondent, Customers will be required to pay one hundred and thirty United States dollars within thirteen (13) Months.

The Customers are, however, appealing for the price of meters to be reduced to seventy-five United States dollars, citing economic constraints.

Our Correspondent quotes the LERC Assessment Team as saying the installation of meters on homes and business centers is intended to reduce power theft and enhance effective service delivery.

In another development, the Liberia Revenue Authority has ended a stakeholder sensitization campaign on Domestic Revenue Mobilization in the Southeast.
