Labor Ministry to Begin ECOWAS Work Permit Enforcement Exercise Nationwide

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Labor Ministry is expected to begin nationwide enforcement of ECOWAS Work Permit on August 15, this year.

Labor Minister Cllr. Cooper Kruah said:” The move is in line with the Decent Work Act. The initiative will also promote the Government’s revenue generation capacity at the Ministry.”

Minister Kruah outlined significant gains made at the Ministry for the past seven months, including the collection of over one million US Dollars.

He also reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to resolving labor-related conflicts across employment institutions to promote stability at workplaces.

Minister Cooper Kruah was speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in Congo Town.
