GBARPOLU COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police Detachment in Gbarpolu County has arrested a sixteen-year-old minor for allegedly raping a six-year-old child in Vaye Town, District Three.

Suspect Jefferson Folley, a relative to the victim, reportedly committed the act when the child’s mother left her in his care.

ELBC Correspondent quotes the mother of the child, Weinteta Barnah, as saying upon her return; she met her daughter bleeding and rushed her to the nearest health center in the area.

Our Correspondent said the child has been transferred to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Monrovia due to her worsening condition.

Meanwhile, the child’s mother is urging the police for speedy justice.
