Liberia Broadcasting System, China Media Group Sign Two-Year Partnership Agreement

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), and the China Media Group have signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance cooperation between the two media entities.

Signing the MOU, the LBS Director General, Eugene Fahngon, said:” The document seeks to strengthen exchanges between China and Liberia and to boost mutual benefit between the two peoples.”

According to Director Fahngon, the agreement paves the way for enhanced content exchange, technical cooperation, and personnel training, among others.

Director Fahngon also expressed optimism that the collaboration between the LBS and the China Media Group will be further strengthened after two years.

The LBS Director General then thanked the China Media Group (CMG) for the partnership.

Meanwhile, China Media Group Africa Bureau Chief Song Jianing expressed confidence that the partnership between the LBS and the CMG will scale up to new heights.

Madam Jianing said:” The CMG remains resolute in working along with the LBS for shared growth and development of the two entities.”

She spoke through an interpreter on Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Compound of the LBS in Paynesville, and presented a souvenir to the entity.

After the signing ceremony, the China Media Group Africa Bureau Chief was taken on a tour of the LBS by Director General Eugene Fahngon.
