Pres. Boakai Stresses Gov. of Liberia’s Commitment to Fighting Corruption

President Joseph Boakai has reemphasized the Liberian Government’s commitment to fighting corruption in all sectors of governance.

President Boakai believes this will ensure that the Government holds public officials and institutions accountable for services rendered to the country.

The Liberian Leader made the remarks on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, when a delegation from the IMF paid him a courtesy visit.

He also vowed to improve the infrastructure and livelihood of the citizens by maximizing the country’s limited resources.

President Joseph Boakai, however, is craving the support of the IMF in the Government’s quest to better the lives of the ordinary people.

Meanwhile, the IMF has promised to support Liberia’s economic growth and development.

The Head of the IMF’s Delegation, Daehaeng Kim said:” Such support is pivotal to the achievement of the ARREST Agenda.

The Agenda seeks to support macroeconomic development and uplift the living standards of the people.

The Team’s visit is intended to evaluate the ongoing policy priorities and negotiate a new four-year ECF program in Liberia.
