“Practice true resilience and pursue purpose”-Dr.Gray

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The University of Liberia Dean of the Amos C. Sawyer College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Josephus Gray, has urged students and faculty of the University to practice true resilience and pursue purpose.

Dr. Gray believes that it is important for the students and faculty to use their chosen professions, experience, and education, to aid the process of change in the country.

A release issued recently quotes the UL Professor as saying only enlightened people can change the country for the greater good of all citizens.

According to the release, Dr. Gray made the statement recently when students of the UL bestowed a prestigious honor on him for what they termed as his exemplary leadership and commitment to quality education at the Institution.

The latest recognition brings to three the number of honors and awards bestowed upon Dr. Gray in recent times by students of the State-run University.

At the same time, experts of Mathematics at the UL have joined the global announcement of a new branch of continuous Mathematics known as “CODDUS”.

It followed a thorough research by a Creative, Innovative, and Scientific Liberian group for the exhibition of Coddus, since 2010.

The group’s Lead Mathematical Scientist, Alexander Matadie, said:” The intervention of Coddus, will now transition a set of tools for understanding the World, focusing on Flux, Motion, and automation of motion, among others.

According to him, Coddus will, at the same time, give insight beyond its original context of expression, employing physical principals of functional automation beyond Calculus.

The exhibition of the new Mathematics is expected to be held at the University of Liberia on June 28.
