Liberia Nat’l Fisheries to Dedicate New Fish Processing Facility in Buchanan

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) is expected to dedicate a new Fish Processing Facility in Fanti Town, Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

The facility was constructed with funding from the Japanese Government and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

It is one of three completed fish facilities that the FAO is expected to hand over to the Government of Liberia, through the NaFAA.

The FTT is intended to improve fish processing facilities, enhance food safety, and support small-scale businesses.

The facility contains modern fish dryers and solar freezers to ensure sustainable fish processing.
