Pres. Boakai Appoints Additional University of Liberia Board of Trustees Members

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has appointed additional members to the Board of Trustees of the University of Liberia (UL).

According to an Executive Mansion release issued recently, those appointed include the Minister of Education, Ex-Officio and Statutory Member, Minister of Finance, Member, Representative of ArcelorMittal-Liberia, Member and Representative of Liberia Chambers of Commerce, Member.

Others are Representative of Firestone-Liberia, Member, Representative of CEMENCO-Liberia, Member, Dr. Alhassan Conteh, Member, Rev. Dr. Arnold Hill, Member and President of the UL, Executive Officer and Statutory Member.

Meanwhile, President Joseph Boakai is urging those appointed to continue demonstrating diligence, commitment, integrity, and loyalty in their service to Liberia.

At the same time, President Boakai has declared the month of May as “World Red Cross Month”, and May 8 as “World Red Cross Day” to be observed as a working Holiday.

The Proclamation calls Liberians and Foreign Residents to observe the event under the theme:” I Give with Joy, and the Joy I Give is a Reward.”

This year’s theme promotes the idea of giving with a sense of joy.

The Proclamation also noted that the events will focus on highlighting the universal presence and impact of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement in humanitarian service.
