Booker Washington Institute’s Board Chair and Ex-Officio Assures Smooth Transition…

KAKATA, MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Chair and Ex-Officio of the Booker Washington Institute (BWI) Board of Governors has ensured a smooth transition between the outgoing and incoming administration of the school.

Mr. Jonathan Paylayleh expressed delight over the relative calm on campus since he was appointed a new Principal by President Joseph Boakai.

Mr. Paylayleh rallied staff and student body to support the new administration under the stewardship of Dr. Nancy Freeman.

He was speaking during an acquaintance meeting with the school’s administration, faculty, staff, and students of the BWI in Kakata over the weekend.

The new Principal is expected to take office in the coming weeks, after the convening of the Board to act to act on her appointment by President Joseph Boakai.

At the same time, the outgoing Principal of the school, Dr. Harris Tarnue, has described his seven years at the institution as an accomplished mission.

Dr. Tarnue boasted of improving the quality of learning and infusing innovation that has made the BWI stand out among T-VET Institutions in the Country.

Under Dr. Tarnue’s administration, two years ago, BWI was rated among the top ten Educational T-VET Institutions globally.

The outgoing Principal then lauded the Board, faculty, staff, and student body for their support and cooperation over the years.

Dr. Harris Tarnue believes such cooperation has made his BWI journey satisfactory.
