Rep. Banks of Grand Bassa County District-2 Wants Two Logging Companies Shut Down or…

GRAND BASSA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Grand Bassa County District-Two Representative wants the operations of two logging companies halted in the District, due to their failure to implement their social responsibilities.

Representative Clarence Banks said:” R and S Resource Incorporated and the West Africa Forest Development (WAFDI) have failed to live up to their social responsibilities.”

Representative Banks said the two logging companies should immediately begin the implementation of crucial development in line with their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The Grand Bassa County Lawmaker said:” It is time for poor communities to begin benefiting from their resources, and there will be ‘no business as usual’, as I am upbeat to ensure that companies live up to their social responsibilities.”
