Civil Service Agency Launches Major Policy Framework…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Civil Service Agency (CSA) has launched a major policy framework on the provision of Consultancy Services across all spending agencies of the Government of Liberia.

Speaking at the launch of the project, President Joseph Boakai described the project as a vital achievement of the Liberian Government’s hundred-day deliverables.

President Boakai said:” The initiative presents a comparative framework that guarantees equitable opportunities for entities seeking consultancy services by standards, fairness, and transparency.”

The Liberian Leader said the goal is to establish standardized procedures and benchmarks for consultancy services across the Central Government to ensure value for money.

The Liberian Leader spoke on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, when he officially launched the policy, which the Civil Service Agency (CSA) believes will cut down hiring costs across government entities.

He then thanked the CSA and partners for the policy, urging straight adherence and transparency in its implementation by the Government of Liberia.

Also speaking, CSA Director General, Josiah Joekai, told the launching ceremony that the move will centralize the management and coordination of consultancy services across various Government agencies.

Director General Joekai said:” By doing so, the Government will position itself to streamline the allocation of funds for consultancy services and ensure they address critical governmental needs, where existing staff and capacities fall short.”

He added that resources were misapplied on extended employment contracts that failed to contribute to spending entities’ operations before the initiative.

The National Consultancy Policy will maximize value for money and ensure services meet the ultimate Government’s objectives.
