Liberia Immigration Service Launches First Digital Alien Registration Project

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) has launched the first-ever Digital Alien Registration Project in Liberia.

Under the project, LIS personnel will be trained in the Digital Immigration Registration System as part of the institution’s quest to improve service delivery.

At the launch of the project on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, LIS Deputy Commissioner General for Naturalization, Atty. Dixon Tamba, said:” The training is aimed at putting Liberia on par with its regional counterparts in digital advancement.”

Commissioner Tamba noted that over the years the LIS has been generating at least five million US Dollars annually, using the manual immigration and alien system.

The LIS Deputy Commissioner General said:” The introduction of the system will serve as a major boost to more revenue generation at the LIS and promote effective operations.”
