Liberia’s First Lady Rallies Liberians…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s First Lady Kartumu Boakai is rallying Liberians across the Country in the fight against Tuberculosis.

Madam Boakai said:” Though Liberia is making frantic efforts in the first against TB, more needs to be done to eradicate the menace.”

The Liberian First Lady called on all citizens to confront challenges that hinder the progress toward eliminating the horrific disease, such as limited resources, social stigma, and complacency.

She then pledged her commitment to advocating and ensuring that the fight against TB receives the attention and resources it deserves.

The Liberian First Lady made the statement on Monday, March 25, 2024, during the celebration of World TB Day held in Monrovia under the theme:” YES WE Can End TB.”
