Nat’l Legislature Commits to War and Economic Crimes Court Establishment…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Cllr. Fonati Koffa has assured a US Delegation of the National Legislature’s commitment to the establishment of a War and Economic Crimes Court in Liberia.

The US Government’s Delegation is currently in the Country to assess the prospects for the establishment of the Court.

The Delegation is led by US Ambassador-at-Large, Beth Van Schaach and a Team from the Office of Global Criminals.

During the meeting, Speaker Koffa committed the Legislature to supporting justice for war victims but maintained that it won’t be insensitive to the concerns of people who feel targeted.
