Coalition for Democratic Change Chairman Resigns

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chairman of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), has resigned from his position.

In a lengthy letter addressed to the CDC Standard Bearer, George Weah, Mr. Mulbah Morlu cited what he called the diminishing opportunity to effectively fulfill his role as Chairman.

Mr. Morlu also attributed his position to perennial disagreements with Mr. Weah, solely driven by his principles and love for the Party.

He said:” I have decided to remain positive to keep the peace and stability of the former ruling Party, and pledged my loyalty to the Coalition for Democratic Change and remain a partisan, but will this time focus on advocacy for the people and keep the UP-led Government in check.”
