Former Pres. Weah Expresses Sadness over Passing of Former Nimba County Lawmaker

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Former President George Weah says he is saddened over the death of former Nimba County District Nine Representative, Johnson Gwaikolo.

Former President Weah, in a Facebook post on Monday, February 19, 2024, described the fallen statesman as a towering figure in the politics of Nimba County and the nation at large.

The former Liberian Leader urged the Gbi and Doru people to take solace in the irreparable loss of the statesman.

The late Johnson Gwaikolo was a staunch of the former ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Government.

The former Nimba County Lawmaker died on Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Saint Joseph Catholic Hospital following a brief illness.
