Liberia, Ghana Renews Commitment to Greater Cooperation…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia, and Ghana have renewed their commitment to greater cooperation for the mutual benefit of their respective Governments.

The two ECOWAS countries reassured the promotion of bilateral ties while, at the same time, recommitting to upholding the framework of the sub-regional bloc.

According to an Executive Mansion release issued recently, the commitment was made when President Joseph Boakai and Ghana’s Vice President Mahamadu Bawumia recently held talks in Accra, Ghana.

The release said the Liberian Leader expressed gratitude to his Ghanaian Counterpart, Nana-Akufo-Addo for the level of support received before and during his inauguration.

Liberia and Ghana have a shared history of stable democratic governance and respect for the rule of law not only in West Africa but on the African Continent.

Meanwhile, President Boakai has returned home following a successful two-day working visit to Ghana.
