MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Management of China Union Mining Company in Bong County has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with protesting workers of the Company to address their demands.

According to the MoU, China Union has agreed to pay six hundred US Dollars to each employee for two years as education benefits.

The Company also agreed to underwrite the medical bills of employees and provide drinking water, rice, and personal protective equipment (PPE) among others.

Meanwhile, the Head of the aggrieved workers, Edward Nenmoh, told ELBC Correspondent that the workers are resuming work on today, Thursday, February 15, 2024, as the negotiation continues.
