UN Resident Coordinator to Liberia Lauds Outgoing Foreign Minister Kemayah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-UN Resident Coordinator to Liberia, Christine Umutoni, has praised the excellent relations with the administration of the Foreign Ministry.

Madam Umutoni said:” Interventions made by outgoing Foreign Minister Dee-Maxwell Kemayah in addressing challenges at the Ministry remains indelible, not just on the minds of Liberians but also among foreign partners.”

The UN Resident Coordinator made the remarks on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, when Members of the Diplomatic Corps and International Partners in Liberia honored Minister Kemayah for his achievements over the last three years.

Madam Umutoni also thanked Ambassador Kemayah for the gains made at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under his leadership.

Remarking at the honoring ceremony, Minister Kemayah described the honor as a milestone achievement in his personal life, and as former Dean of the Cabinet.

He thanked Members of the Diplomatic Corps and International Partners for the recognition, dedicating the honor to former President George Weah and his family.

Minister Kemayah told the gathering that he is leaving the Ministry as a very happy man, based on the massive reforms aimed at improving Liberia’s foreign policy agenda.

The former Dean of the Cabinet noted that his slogan at the Foreign Ministry during his tenure was to give Liberians added value for their money.
