“I will Push for salary increment and just benefits…”-Mr. Sayon

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President-elect of the Liberia Broadcasting System Workers Union (LIBSWU) has promised to push for salary increments and just benefits for workers of the System.

Mr. Joseph Sayon said:” It is unacceptable for workers of professional institutions like LBS to be underpaid.”

Mr. Sayon noted that his push will be done through social dialogue and negotiation in line with the Decent Work Act of Liberia.

Speaking on Thursday, December 28, 2023, during the program marking his certification as President-elect of LIBSWU, Mr. Sayon also assured to push for the employment of contractors who have worked for over two years.

The LIB Workers Union President-elect said workers of the entity will not be dignified if their take-home pay will be consumed by transportation.
