Pres. Weah Consoles US President Biden…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has consoled US President Joe Biden, following the death of former Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger at age hundred.

According to a Foreign Ministry release issued recently, President Weah extended heartfelt condolences to President Biden, the Government, and the people of the United States of America, particularly the bereaved family for the irreparable loss sustained.

The Liberian Leader indicated that his sincere prayers and thoughts are with President Biden, the bereaved family, and the resilient people of the U.S. during this difficult period of national mourning in that country.

At the same time, President Weah has, with immediate effect, dismissed two senior officials at the Ministry of Commerce.

They are the Deputy Commerce Minister for Commerce and Trade, George Wolo, and Peter Somah, Assistant Minister for Commerce.

An Executive Mansion release says the two Ministers were dismissed for administrative reasons.

President Weah took the decision today, Friday, December 1, 2023.

The sacking of the two Commerce Ministry officials now brings to three, who have been dismissed in the last few weeks.

A fortnight ago, the Liberian Leader fired Deputy Foreign Minister Henry Fahnbulleh for administrative reasons.
