Mano River Union Declares Liberia’s Elections Peaceful…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Mano River Union (MRU) has declared the just-ended elections as peaceful, free, fair and democratic.

The Head of the MRU Observation Mission in Liberia, Madam Rosaline McCarthy, reported high voter turnout with the visibility and accessibility of polling centers.

Madam McCarthy said:” There were enough national and International Observers, as well as security presence at voting centers across the country.”

She told a news conference on Thursday, October 12, 2023, that amid the peaceful and democratic nature, some late starts of the process have been reported.

Madam Rosaline McCarthy, however, expressed the hope that the tallying of the votes will be done with transparency and credibility.
