Gov. of Liberia to Begin Resilience Coastal Defense Project in Greenville, Sinoe County

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government is expected to begin the Resilience Coastal Defense Project in Greenville, Sinoe County.

It followed the launch of the project last year by the Government, through the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

According to ELBC Correspondent, the move is intended to safeguard coastal communities against sea erosion.

Our Correspondent quotes Assistant Mines and Energy Minister, Johnson Willabo, as putting the cost of the project to about ten million United States Dollars.

Meanwhile, affected community dwellers in the area have extolled the Liberian Government and partners for the initiative.
