Five People Arrested for Allegedly Beating a 39-Year-Old-Man…

GRAND KRU COUNTY, LIBERIA- Five persons have been arrested for allegedly beating a thirty-nine-year-old man identified as Emmanuel Swen in Blebo, Grand Kru County.

The accused persons told police investigators that their action was predicated upon the victim’s alleged failure to turn over an undisclosed amount given to the community by Senatorial Candidate.

ELBC Correspondent in the area said two of the five suspects, Isaac and Benedict Polee have been charged with aggravated assault, theft of property, criminal conspiracy, and inciting violence.

Three other suspects were also charged with criminal facilitation, obstruction of justice, and hindering law enforcement officers’ operations.

Meanwhile, the victim, Emmanuel Swen, is currently undergoing medical attention in Maryland County.
