Minister Tweah Demands Apology from Ambassador Boakai of the Unity Party

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Finance Minister Samuel Tweah has demanded an open apology from opposition leader, Joseph Boakai.

It followed alleged threats from the former Vice President that “the country will come to an end if President George Weah is re-elected.”

Minister Tweah told ELBC on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, that the statement from Ambassador Boakai shows that he has some diabolical intent to inflict harm on the country he wants to rule.

Finance Minister Samuel Tweah noted that such utterances by the Ambassador are indefensible and have since rendered him unfit for election into public office.
