MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police (LNP) has arrested Vivian Dent for allegedly brutalizing another female only identified as Naomi in a sealed-up room in Yekepa, Nimba County.

Vivian was seen in a video that went viral on social media, severely flogging Naomi for allegedly having an affair with her husband only identified as Stephen, who worked for ArcelorMittal-Liberia in the county.

Police Spokesperson, Moses Carter, told a news conference on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, that suspect Vivian will be investigated, charged, and forwarded to court for prosecution in Nimba County.

Mr. Carter also said:” Anyone connected with the abuse and humiliation of Naomi will be brought to book.”

She was seen screaming and pleading for mercy in the viral video while being flogged by suspect Vivian Dent.
