Health Ministry Appeals to Southeastern Health Workers Asso. to Call Off Strike Action…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Health is appealing to Southeastern Health Workers Association to call off its planned strike action.

The Ministry said despite ongoing efforts to address issues of concern, the Association continues to encourage its members to stage a strike action today Thursday, July 20, 2023.

The Ministry said it is working along with the Civil Service Agency and the Ministry of Finance to find an amicable solution to the workers’ plight.

The Health Ministry is urging County Health Officers of affected counties to communicate with the workers to abandon their strike.

It wants the affected workers to take into consideration the grave consequences their actions have on the lives of people in the Southeastern Region.
