West Africa Elders Forum Chairman Cautions Liberians Against Acts Instigating Violence…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chairman of the West Africa Elders Forum is cautioning Liberians against acts that instigate violence, as the country prepares for elections.

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan said:” The maintenance of peace in Liberia is the collective responsibility of all Liberians.”

Mr. Jonathan urged politicians and their supporters to embrace issue-driven campaign activities as opposed to confrontational engagements that breed violence and instability.

The visiting Chair of the West Africa Elders Forum was speaking on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at a press conference in Monrovia.

The former Nigerian President also called on political parties and national stakeholders to uphold the provisions of the Farmington Declaration.
