Pres. Weah Expresses Disappointment…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has expressed disappointment over attempts by some West African Leaders to alter their countries’ constitutions to seek a third term.

Presidential Press Secretary Solo Kelgbeh quotes President Weah as describing such action as unacceptable.

Mr.Kelgbeh, however, said President Weah is committed to a two-term presidency consistent with the Liberian Constitution.

Mr. Kelgbeh disclosed that the Liberian Leader will continue to uphold a peaceful and reconciled Liberia, and assured that the Liberian Leader’s second term victory is well on course.

In another development, the Authorities of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government overwhelmingly endorsed a proposal by President George Weah, for Liberia to take a Non-Permanent Member seat at the United Nations.
