All Liberia Party withdraws Support from Unity Party

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The opposition All Liberian Party (ALP) has withdrawn its support from the Unity Party (UP) and its Standard Bearer, Joseph Boakai.

The ALP, in a statement read by Senior Stewart Henry Costa, accused the UP of disrespect and betrayal.

Mr. Costa said:” On countless occasions, the UP ignored the ALP and went with their own plans outside of agreed arrangements.”

He claimed to have turned down huge financial offers from partners to run for the office of the Presidency, out of respect for Ambassador Boakai.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Boakai has extended an olive branch to Mr. Costa and the ALP.

In a statement on his official Facebook account, Ambassador Boakai described Mr. Henry Costa as his son and that he holds nothing against him.
