Environmental Protection Agency Warns against Illegal Carbon Credit Sale

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is warning companies against the illegal sale of Carbon Credit.

EPA Executive Director, Wilson Tarpeh, said such act by companies involved is totally illegal.

Mr. Tarpeh said:” Any company interested in dealing with carbon credit should be authorized by the EPA.”

Speaking on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at MICAT Press Conference, Professor Tarpeh said:” Individuals or companies caught in the illegal harvesting of Carbon in the country will be penalized in keeping with the law.”

Mr. Wilson Tarpeh added that only the Environmental Protection Agency is designated to harvest Carbon, under the United Nations Framework Document.
