MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has congratulated the President-elect of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on their historic re-election as President.

The Liberian Government praised the excellent relations between the two countries over the years, especially as the people of Turkey celebrate the re-election of their Leader.

According to a Foreign Ministry issued recently, the Government’s commendation was contained in a message by President George Weah to his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In the message to his Turkish counterpart, President Weah conveyed sincere best wishes on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia.

The release further quotes President Weah as also expressing confidence in the astute and visionary President-elect of Turkey, and that he will continue to enjoy the blessings of peace, unity, and prosperity.
