“Gov. Remains Committed to Maintaining Peace…” Minister Rennie

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia says it remains committed to the maintenance of peace during and after the Presidential and Legislative Elections.

 The Minister of Information, Ledgerhood Rennie, noted that peace is the fundamental pathway to the realization of successful elections.

Minister Rennie, however, encouraged Liberians to denounce violence, uphold and sustain the peace and tranquility of the country.

He argued that the preservation of the country’s peace, especially during this crucial election period, requires the collective efforts of all Liberians, including Civil Society and the media.

Minister Rennie reminded Liberians, particularly the key political actors that election in all forms is a contestation of exercising a democratic right s and not a time of confusion.
