Foreign Ministry Launches “Liberia Young Diplomat in Training Initiative”

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Foreign Ministry has officially launched the Liberia Young Diplomat in Training Initiative aimed at building the capacity of desired University Students in Diplomacy.

Launching the program at MICAT’s regular press Briefing on Capitol Hill in Monrovia, Foreign Minister De-Maxwell Kemayah announced that the first cohort of twenty-five University Students would go to China for a three-week Diplomat Training.

Minister Kemayah said:” The twenty-five cohort was drawn from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federation of Liberian Youth, Liberia National Students Union, the University of Liberia Students Union, and all University Students Union of the fifteen Counties”.

He disclosed that those traveling to China for the training are fourteen females and eleven males, who were properly vetted.

Foreign Minister De-Maxwell Kemayah said:” While in China, the beneficiaries will study at the University of International Business and Economics”.
