Pres. Weah Congratulates Sierra Leone on 62nd Independence Day

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has congratulated the Government and people of Sierra Leone, as they commemorate the 62nd Independence Day on April 27.

In his message to his counterpart, President Julius Maada Bio, President Weah conveyed best wishes to the Government and people of Sierra Leone, as they mark this historical event.

A Foreign Ministry release issued Wednesday, April 26, 2023, said as Liberia joins the friendly people of Sierra Leone in celebrating this milestone; it is his hope that the relations between the two governments will be further deepened.

He expressed confidence that the two governments will continue to work together to promote peace, security, and development in the Mano River Union Basin, ECOWAS Region, and the Continent.

President Weah prayed for President Maada Bio’s personal well-being and for the people of Sierra Leone for prosperity and new years ahead.
