VP Taylor Clarifies…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor has clarified that at no time did she accuse some officials of the Government of keeping the newly printed banknotes to buy votes.

Recently, Senator Prince Johnson alleged that Vice President Taylor called on Liberians not to vote for corrupt Government officials with stolen money.

But Vice President Taylor told reporters over the weekend that her statement made in Bong County, during the 2020 Senatorial Election, was misquoted by Senator Johnson.

Madam Taylor, however, said:” I told citizens of Bong County to elect people who have worked in their interest, and that they should not be induced by money.”

The Liberian Vice President clarified that she has no conflict with Senator Prince Johnson of Nimba County.
