Teen Age Girls Undergo Police Investigation for Alleged Prostitution

RIVER GEE COUNTY, LIBERIA-Five teenagers are undergoing police inquiry in River Gee County for their alleged involvement in prostitution.

Prostitution is illegal under Liberian law.

The teenagers told police investigators that their action is due to hardship faced by their parents and as a means of survival.

ELBC Correspondent said:” The girls rented an apartment in Fish Town, where they carried out commercial sex”.

Meanwhile, Fish Town residents are calling for a speedy investigation into the case, describing the girls’ action as disgraceful to womanhood.
