West African Examinations Council Rules Out Speculations over Exams Postponement

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has ruled out speculations over the postponement of this year’s exams.
WAEC Head, Dale Gbotoe, told ELBC Super Morning Show on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, of the Council’s preparedness to administer the exams as scheduled, commencing April 24, to June this year.
Meanwhile, Mr. Gbotoe is warning school authorities engaged in the collection of extra fees for the upcoming exams to desist.
The WAEC Boss said school administrations doing so are not operating on the orders of the Council and risk serious punitive actions.
Mr. Gbotoe also disclosed that the Liberian Government has already underwritten the cost of the exams by paying over four million USD to WAEC.
