GANTA, NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-resident of Ganta, Nimba County, has discovered a huge quantity of ammunitions in a dumpsite.

According to ELBC Nimba County Correspondent, more than one-thousand pieces of both AK-47 and General Machine Gun (GMG) rounds were discovered in a Banana Bush dumpsite in Ganta.

Our Correspondent is also quoted as saying; the ammunitions were discovered on Monday, April 10, 2023, near the compound of a notorious ex-Ivorian Militia, General Weamie Abu.

Meanwhile, police in Ganta have launched an inquiry into the ammunition discovery.

Ganta Police Commander, Archie Dennise, according to our correspondent, confirmed the information.

Reports say Weamie Abu, thirty-eight and hard-core ex-Ivorian Militia General and recycled armed robber, is believed to have participated in the February armed robbery attack on peaceful residents in Ganta.
