MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has signed into law the 2023 National Budget in the tone of seven-hundred-eighty-two-million United States Dollars.

It followed the passage of the budget into law by the National Legislature.

According to an Executive Mansion release issued recently, the signing of the fiscal budget followed several months of scrutiny and public hearings from both Houses of the National Legislature.

The 2023 National Budget accounts for three separate revenue envelopes, including Tax and Non-Tax Revenue, as well as External Resources.

According to the release, the budget was signed into law on Monday, April 10, 2023.

At the same time, President Weah has provided loan to market women in Grand Kru County.

The six-million Liberian Dollar loan is expected to help improve the businesses of marketers and their lives in the County.

ELBC Correspondent said:” The money was presented to the women by the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) National Chairman, Mulbah Morlu, on behalf of the Liberian Leader”.

Distributing the loan, Chairman Morlu assured of the Liberian Leader’s commitment to help improve the lives and businesses of petty traders in the County.

Receiving the money, the women thanked President Weah, and praised him for his farsightedness and good leadership.
