Pres. Weah Reassures of His Commitment to Bettering Liberian Lives

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has reassured Liberians of his commitment to bettering their lives.

President Weah said:” My Government, amid prevailing challenges, has made significant gains for the past five years.”

The Liberian Leader named the payment of WASSCE fees, road rehabilitation and construction, improvements in health and education, among others, as milestone achievements.

He made the remarks on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the signing of the Framework Document of the six political parties at the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) Headquarters, in Paynesville City.

President Weah urged the political parties to work along with the Liberian Government to move the Country forward.

Six political parties officially joined the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), after affixing their signatures to the Framework Document.

The parties include the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE), United People’s Party and the Redemption Party’s Congress.

Others are the People’s Liberation Party, Citizens Democratic Alliance (CDA) and the Union of Liberian Democrats.

Speaking on behalf of the parties, MOVEE Political Leader, Dee-Maxwell Kemayah, said:” The parties’ decision is based on the many development initiatives undertaken by President George Weah.”

The MOVEE Political Leader maintained that their membership to the Coalition will further accelerate and attract national mobilization platform towards the reelection of President Weah.

The Coalition now has nine constituent parties, ahead of the October 10 Presidential and Legislative Elections.
