Nat’l Elections Commission Workers Abandon Juayjuar Registration Center

GRAND CAPE MOUNT COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Juayjuar Registration Center in Porkpah District, Grand Cape Mount County, has been abandoned by the National Elections Commission (NEC) temporary workers.

The NEC Technicians at the center attributed the abandonment to fear of being intimidated by some lawmakers in the area.

ELBC Correspondent quotes Rahman Fahnbulleh as alleging they have been intimidated by Senator Simeon Taylor, Representative Bob Sheriff and Hassan Kiazolu for their alleged involvement in registering citizens from neighboring Sierra Leone.

When contacted, one of the accused, Porkah Gola-Konneh District Representative, Bob Sheriff, denied the allegation.

He told ELBC that at no time did he threaten or order the beating of any of his citizens.

Representative Sheriff also denied his involvement in voters trucking, terming it as totally wrong.
