MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia has been eliminated from the ongoing African Cup of Nations Qualifiers for Ivory Coast next year.

Liberia, on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, went down to South Africa one goal to two at the glance of a record crowd at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville City.

The game was the second leg between both teams in the 2023 Qualifiers.

Liberia is at bottom of Group-K with one point and a game to play later this year.

Last Friday the Lone Star forced Bafana-Bafana to a 2-2 draw in the first leg in Johannesburg, in South Africa.
