Inmates of Zwedru Correction Palace Go on Rampage

ZWEDRU, GRAND GEDEH COUNTY, LIBERIA-Inmates of the Zwedru Palace Correction Center over the weekend set ablaze several documents and office equipment of the prison facility.

The action of the aggrieved inmates resulted to the destruction of several properties at the facility.

The incident occurred when the inmates resisted regular inspection by Correction Officers of the Palace.

Our Grand Gedeh County Correspondent said the inmates broke the locks of various cells and entered the compound.

Our Correspondent quotes the Prison Director, Chrispin Doe, as saying the inmates entered offices, brought out documents and office equipment and burn them.
