Cllr. Marcus Jones is Dead

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Cllr. Marcus Jones, a prominent figure in Liberian politics, is dead.

According to family sources, Cllr. Jones died on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at his residence in Barnesville Estate, after a prolonged illness.

He was a significant member of the opposition victory for change, and also served as President of the Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA).

In 2013, Cllr. Jones received a five-year suspension from the Supreme Court of Liberia, due to misconduct.

Cllr. Marcus Jones left the Unity Party (UP), when he was not chosen as the Party Standard Bearer.
