Supreme Court Opens Today

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Supreme Court of Liberia will today, Monday, open for its March Term at the Temple of Justice.

Chief Justice, Sie-A-Nyene Youh, has extended invitation to President George Weah, the Speaker, Senate Pro Temp and Members of the Diplomatic Corps to grace the ceremony.

The opening of the Supreme Court is consistent with Chapter 2, Section 2.5 of the Judiciary Law of Liberia.

The law states that the Supreme Court shall hold two terms annually, commencing on the Second Monday of March and October known as March and October Terms.

According to ELBC Judicial Correspondent, judges of specialized court and lawyers are expected to be in attendance.
