Two Died, Four Undergo Treatment from Allegedly Drinking Palm Wine in Salayea

LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA-At least two persons have died and four others undergoing treatment, after allegedly drinking palm wine in Salayea, Lofa County.

The deceased, Johnson Gayflor and his wife, Noah Gayflor, were found unconscious on their farmland and later pronounced dead by health practitioners.

According to ELBC Correspondent, the deceased and three others were reportedly given a bottle of palm wine by an NGO worker in the area, only identified as Zubah.

Meanwhile, the Jury set up to examine the bodies has reported no foul play.

But family members of the deceased have since rejected Jury’s report, saying it is untrue and lacks scientific reliance.
