BUCHANAN, GRAND BASSA COUNTY, LIBERIA-A seventeen-year-old girl is in police custody undergoing investigation for allegedly gashing the face of a lady using a razor blade in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

According to ELBC Correspondent, the incident happened on Monday, March 6, 2023, after the alleged perpetrator, Youkunjay Zeogar, accused the victim, Yonley Kaijor, of having an affair with her boyfriend.

Our Correspondent said Youkunjay used the blade to tear the face of Yonley from the eye to the jaw, during the physical assault.

In her preliminary statement to the police, Youkunjay admitted to committing the act, while pleading for mercy.

Meanwhile, the victim is currently seeking medication at a local health facility in Buchanan, while the perpetrator has committed to underwriting the medical bills.
