MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The opposition Alternative National Congress (ANC) has revealed ongoing consultations with former Vice President, Joseph Boakai, to back-off from the Presidential race and support Mr. Alexander Cummings.

Mr. Cummings’ Deputy Chief of Office Staff, Mulbah Yorgbor, made the revelation on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, on All Things Considered, LNTV Flagship program.

Mr. Yorgbor said:” The consultations started with Ambassador Boakai when all political parties were together in the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP).”

Asked whether Ambassador Boakai will be financially rewarded for the decision, Mr. Yorgbor said it would take the Unity Party Standard Bearer to make such request.

According to him, not only does Mr. Cummings want the former Vice President to back-off from the race, but also join his campaign trail.
