General Auditing Commission to Launch CitizenEye Platform

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A platform aimed at reporting suspected cases on misapplication of public funds is expected to be launched in Liberia.

CitizenEye, when launched, will afford citizens the opportunity to actively participate in the governance of the Country.

Liberia’s Auditor General, Garsuah Jackson, made the disclosure on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at the start of a four-day Technology Driven Citizen Engagement and Regional Workshop, in Monrovia.

Mr. Jackson said:” The workshop will focus on how gaps emanating from recent assessment conducted by the GAC and partners can be addressed.”

The GAC Boss indicated that information collected from citizens and residents will be analyzed and subsequently used as significant data, during planning and auditing sessions.

Mr. Garsuah Jackson said the GAC and partners will collaborate with stakeholders in public and private sectors, in achieving this feat.
